Ingredients
- 1 cup kanchana roasted rava
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 big onion
- 2 green chilly
- 2 dry red chilly
- 2 table spoon oil
- Ginger one inch in size
- Salt & curry leaves
Upma making :
Heal 2 tablespoons of oil in a heavy bottomed pan/on medium flame. Add mustard seed. When they began to sputter, add chilly, curry leaves, chopped onion, ginger and green chillies and saute for 1-2 minutes. Pour 2cups of water, add adequate salt to this mix & stir well. When water starts boiling(for 1 minute), add kanchana roasted rava gradually and keep stirring to avoid lumps. Add grated coconut if needed. Once rava absorbs all water, cover & cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Stir in between regular intervals. Turn off the flame & allow to settle for another 5 minutes. Delicious rava upma is ready to be served.
